CSA ( What is CSA? )

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a concept which links consummers to local farms. Members buy a share of the produce at the beginning of the year and receive a box of food every week through the season. They can share the risks and rewards of farming and gain a better understanding of the real cost of their food, while knowing that they are investing in their local economy, culture, and food security. CSA also lets the growers focus on healthy, bountiful crops during the season as opposed to concentrating on mass production which reduces the quality of food.

What to expect during the summer season:

June: mesclun, snap peas, beets, lettuce, swiss chard, spinach and more!

July: basil, broccoli, carrots, summer squash, lemon cucumbers, zucchini, lettuce, green onions...

August: cantaloup, onions, carrots, cucumbers, kale, mesclun, ground cherries, snap beans, turnips...

September: parsley, basil, peppers, hot peppers, zucchini, leeks, tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, melons, bok choy, beets...

October: pumpkin, winter squash, carrots, rutabaga, red cabbage, leeks and much more!
